💛 Let’s Talk About Cancer, Costs, and Preparedness
The Canadian Cancer Society is absolutely right — one side effect people don’t expect from cancer is debt.
It’s heartbreaking that in a country like ours, so many families face financial strain on top of everything else when illness strikes.
That’s why I want to share this campaign and encourage you to support it. Their work helps push for change and raise awareness of the very real costs that come with cancer.
As a financial advisor, I also want to add an important layer to this conversation: you can plan ahead for the unexpected.
Critical illness insurance provides a tax-free lump sum payment if you’re diagnosed with a covered illness — like cancer and up to 25 other illnesses. It’s designed to help you:
Cover medical, treatment and recovery costs.
Replace lost income while you focus on getting better
Protect your savings and family from financial stress
None of us like to imagine getting sick, but preparing for the “what ifs” is one of the most caring things you can do for yourself and your family.
If this post resonates with you, I encourage you to:

Because peace of mind shouldn’t be a luxury. 💛
Too many people in Canada are paying out-of-pocket to access the cancer care that they need. Join us to advocate for change.
