Giving Back Day #5: Little Mob

When you support a local business, you are supporting a dream ❤️

You are also supporting their friends, their families, and their staff.

Owning a business…is like…I have no way to describe it actually. It’s terrifying. Its rewarding. It’s all consuming. It’s…amazing ❤️

We really wanted to bring a mob of shoppers into a local shop this evening and Whimsical Vintage Creations in Stony Plain was our very first idea!!

A MOB!! Let’s show up for this business!!

But who would be our shoppers?!?!

How about little kids…coming in to pick out a Christmas present for their Mom or Dad?!?!

So…we sent out 70 invitations to Grade Two students from two of the town’s schools.

Drop off your child with our shopping elves…and you get to stay in your vehicle while we help them shop!!

Please don’t forget to come back!!

We had 50 kiddos show up to get their Christmas shopping done 🎄

We discovered pretty quickly that some couldn’t actually read what was written on the side of some of the grown up mugs 😂😂😂

We could not stop laughing!!

Kyla, owner of one of the most beautiful stores I have ever known…was so surprised!!

We just showed up and said…we are here to surprise you with one of our 12 Days of Giving…and she just teared up immediately…not knowing yet what we had even planned!

Kyla, keep chasing your dream!! Your store is an absolute treasure…and we hope tonight gave you a boost to start off your Christmas Season ❤️

🇨🇦 CANADA!!!! 🇨🇦

We had the BEST day yesterday celebrating our country at Spruce Grove’s Canada Day festival!!!

We had a line up at our booth all day and that was so incredible!

Our favourite customers were two guys that ordered 5 Pulled Pork and 5 Cheese Smokies and then asked what the “red” and “yellow” dips were…they had never seen ketchup and mustard and they had no idea what a cheese smokies was 😂😂

Where are you guys from?!?!

They JUST moved here, with their families from Nigeria…and they were so PUMPED to be at Canada Day!!! 🇨🇦🇳🇬 🇨🇦

Thank you to the City of Spruce Grove for putting on another tremendous event for our community…and thank you to the set up crew, the event crew, the bus drivers, the golf cart drivers lol, and to the planning crew.

It’s not easy to run an even like this and you absolutely hit it outta the park!

I think the kids are still hungover from all the work, and fun 😂😂
