A client who was told they didn’t qualify. They bought their home.

Hallelujah.

A renewal that came in better than expected.

Hallelujah.

A first time buyer who finally understood the process and felt confident.

Hallelujah.

This is why I do this work. Not for the transaction. For the moment everything comes together.

Last week, I set a goal for myself: to introduce myself to every person at the next event I attended. Why? Because I am an extroverted introvert (look that one up, haha). 😜

This was well outside of my comfort zone. Why do it? For connection. For relationships. For growth.

The Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association brought us together for a lively community connect event in Cochrane. I enjoyed lunch at Fence and Post, my favourite restaurant, surrounded by industry peers, some of whom I had only ever met online!

There’s an unmatched joy in finally sharing a hug, something no virtual connection can replicate.

As a board member, moments like these reaffirm why I said yes to this role. Our industry is full of genuinely good people, and AMBA continually finds new ways to bring us closer together.

Thank you, AMBA. Here’s to more moments like this! 🙌

Please join us in extending a huge congratulations to Tracy Regier on being named a finalist for the Regional Broker/Agent – Western Canada Award of Excellence 💙

In just a few short years, Tracy has built something remarkable. As Principal Broker of Tango Alberta, she has grown a thriving regional team, all while maintaining the kind of production, consistency, and client trust that defines true excellence in this industry.

But what sets Tracy apart is the scope of her impact.

From her leadership with AMBA (The Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association) and the creation of WAMBA (Women of AMBA), to co-founding Tango Gives and championing initiatives that elevate both brokers and communities, she continues to shape the future of this profession and the communities we build within the industry in an incredible, meaningful way.

She leads with clarity, generosity, and a genuine commitment to helping others grow, and this recognition reflects that.

We’re incredibly proud to have you leading the way in Alberta, Tracy ✨

The power of kindness. 💥

When I was inducted as an AMBA Board Director, I walked into that AGM not knowing many people in the room. (I was nervous! 😬)
Mark Pullin noticed. He simply said: come sit with me.

That one small act of kindness three years ago meant more than he probably knows.

Since that day, Mark has been a consistent presence in my corner. A colleague, a mentor, and a friend. He shows up with warmth, with wisdom, and with immense support.

There’s a concept I believe in deeply called green light people. The ones who say go. The ones who make space for you before you’ve gained the confidence to know you belong. Mark is that person.

Mark, thank you for your warmth three years ago. I don’t take it for granted.
And yes, we will always find each other in the room for a photo. 📸

To anyone reading this: pay attention to the people who pull up a chair for you. And when you have the chance, be that person for someone else.

Tracy Regier, AMP.
From my desk to yours. 🙏🏽

"Tracy is so nice.”

I hear that a lot.

But here’s the truth.
I’m not trying to be nice anymore.

For a long time I thought that was the goal. Be agreeable. Be easy. Keep the peace.

But nice often means avoiding the real conversation.

Nice is often just conflict avoidance dressed up as virtue.

And over time, that shrinks you.

What I’ve learned is this.

Nice avoids tension.
Kind tells the truth.

Nice keeps people comfortable.
Kind protects what actually matters.

Nice stays quiet in the room.
Kind protects your name in the rooms you’re not in.

Kind is clear.
Kind is direct.
Kind holds the line when it would be easier not to.

Kindness is not weakness.
It’s leadership. 🙏🏽

Every week, my inbox tells me what people are actually worried about.

Here are the top 3 mortgage questions I answered last week:

1. “Can I still qualify if I’m self-employed?”
Yes. It looks different, but it’s absolutely possible. We just need to tell your income story the right way.

2. “Rates dropped. Should I break my mortgage early?”
Maybe. Maybe not. The math matters more than the headline. Let’s look at your penalty vs. your savings before you decide anything.

3. “I got pre-approved at my bank. Do I still need a broker?”
You got one option. I have access to dozens. Pre-approved is a starting point, not a finish line.

No question is too basic. No situation is too complicated.

If something’s been sitting in the back of your mind, drop it in the comments or send me a DM. That’s what I’m here for.

Finalist. Mortgage Awards of Excellence 2026 - Regional Broker/Agent, Western Canada.

I am honoured. It's awards season, and you may see quite a few of these posts across social media. I want to shift the focus to the thread I weave throughout my whole business and into my personal life. I approach every interaction from a place of servitude.

What exactly do I mean by serving?

Serving, to me, looks like a lot of things. It’s being in a client’s corner when a deal gets complicated. It’s coaching a broker through their first tough file. It’s showing up for this industry because I genuinely believe we can do better for the people we work with.

That’s the work. And on the days it’s hard, it’s still the work I’d choose.

To my clients, my team, and this industry - thank you for giving me so much to be passionate about.

To the other nominees, thank you for all the work you are doing, and I am honoured to be nominated with you.

Let's see if a third time nominated is the when the magic happens. ✨

A lot of people think optimism is naive. 🙄 Simon Sinek disagrees and so do I.

I quote:
“Optimism is not naive. Optimism accepts the truth of reality and looks forward to a brighter future. It is the foundation of hope.”
-Simon Sinek

It’s not about ignoring hard things. It’s about believing you’ll get through them.

That’s why it lives in my email signature. Not as a feel-good filler. As a belief system. And speaking of identity, Sinek also reminds us not to let our work be the only word that defines us.

You are so much more than your job title. ✨

What is ONE word that describes you, that has nothing to do with your work?

I would love to hear it!

Easter was extra special this year. 🌷🤍

My family flew in from NYC. And for a few days, I wasn't at my computer. My business didn't fall apart, this used to be my greatest fear. (If it is yours, let's talk)

No emails. No strategies. No to-do lists.

Just mountains, my people, and fresh air that reminded me why I work so hard in the first place. (and maybe some delicious food, too)

The Rockies do something to me. They reset me. Life giving is the word that comes to mind.

Rest is not a reward for finishing your work. It’s part of the work. Protect your recharge time. It’s doesn't mean you are falling behind. It’s leadership.

I challenge you to write down your priorities and then make sure your actions are aligned.

What are your top 3 priorities? 🤎
