The will be dropping by the .ca THIS Sun, Aug 4 at 3pm on Bonnie Drive, adjacent to our / KidsZone for a chance to strut their stuff, talk about how YOU can join Roller Derby and to give the public a fun “Sock Run”.

Come gear up with NCRD! You’ll be putting on your protective gear and taught your basic rules of the game. Then it’s time for some action as we run through a demo JAM with your favorite Derby team! (Don’t worry…no skating skills are necessary for THIS jam!)

Come on out and get your skate on, and see if Roller Derby is your thing!

Amber Banks is a musician, local to Norfolk County (in Ontario), who has been practicing her craft from the age of 9. She has been posting cover videos on Facebook and YouTube since 2016, has performed at local venues and Festivals (The Waterford Old Town Hall, The Norfolk Tavern, Cornstock), and had the honor of opening for Grammy-nominated band Professor Louie and the Crowmatix at a benefit concert for the Music Department of Valley Heights Secondary School! Inspired by Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, The Band, Van Morrison, and Don Mclean, among others, her style can be described primarily as “acoustic folk”, although she also draws heavily from the influences of Soul, Blues, Classic Rock, Doo-Wop, and Country genres as well. MEET THE BAND... STEADY RED, a rock/hard rock band formed in 2022 by four musicians, Skyler Saracuse (lead guitar), Mitch Thistle (drums), Caleb Anger (bass/vocals), & Sean McNamara (guitar/vocals) from Waterford, Ontario Canada who share a passion for music & an unyielding desire to make their mark on the music scene. Each member brings their own unique style & personality to the band, resulting in a sound that is unmistakably STEADY RED. Influenced by rock bands such as Led Zeppelin, Guns N’ Roses, Van Halen, Korn, Pantera & Metallica, Steady Red combines powerful guitar riffs, driving basslines, & thunderous drums to create a sound that is both nostalgic & modern. Their music is characterized by its raw energy & emotive lyrics, which speak to the universal experiences of love, loss, & self-discovery.
