🎨🎶 Murals & Music Takes Over Downtown Simcoe This Saturday! 🎶

On Saturday, June 27, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the Downtown Simcoe Business Improvement Area (BIA) will transform downtown Simcoe into a vibrant celebration of art, music, food, and community.

Visitors can enjoy live performances, delicious local food, and guided tours of the incredible murals that have become a defining part of our downtown landscape. It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience the creativity and talent that make Norfolk County such a special place to live, work, and visit.

With the festivities taking place right in front of our office on Argyle Street, we decided to get into the spirit of the event by “muraling up” our windows! A special thank you to the talented Crystal Lee who created a colourful design inspired by Edward Jones’ “Maximize Your Life” campaign, blending art, music, and vibrant community energy.

If you’re looking for a relaxing way to spend a summer afternoon, bring a lawn chair or blanket, find a spot on our steps downtown, and enjoy the entertainment while exploring all that our historic downtown has to offer.

A huge thank you to the Downtown Simcoe BIA, local artists, musicians, volunteers, and businesses who continue to make events like this possible.

What a fantastic day at the 4th Annual Community Day Golf Tournament! ⛳️

I was proud to participate as a member of the Simcoe and District Chamber of Commerce , where we were set up on the 3rd hole running our Longest Marshmallow Drive Challenge. There were plenty of laughs, some impressive “drives,” and lots of great conversations throughout the day!

A huge thank you to the incredible team at The Greens At Renton for their outstanding hospitality, beautiful course conditions, and the hard work that helped make the day such a success. Thank you as well to the organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and golfers who came together in support of an amazing cause.

Most importantly, this event recognized and supported 21 incredible charities serving Norfolk County. The impact these organizations have on our community is truly inspiring, and it was wonderful to see so many people coming together to make a difference.

I am continually reminded how fortunate we are to live and work in a community that cares so deeply about helping others.

One of the sweetest parts of what we do has nothing to do with investments.

Yesterday, one of our favourite clients stopped by the office and surprised Cathy and me with a basket of fresh local strawberries. 🍓

It’s thoughtful gestures like this that remind us how fortunate we are to do what we do every day. Over the years, many clients become much more than people we meet with a few times a year — they become part of our extended community and friends we genuinely care about.

Helping people navigate important financial decisions is rewarding, but it’s the relationships, conversations, and trust that make this career so meaningful.

Spent some time Norfolk General Hospital Simcoe Ontario today having a spot removed from my calf. If you know me, you know I am an avid sun lover, boater, and winter traveller chasing sunshine — but after today, I can confidently say I’ll be a whole lot more serious about sunscreen.

To anyone who has ever had a mole or lesion removed… I can now empathize — that definitely does not tickle!!!

But in all seriousness, if something feels off or looks concerning, please get it checked. Your health matters.

Huge appreciation to the amazing staff at NG Hospital today — efficient, kind, caring, and human. I wasn’t there long, but I felt incredibly well looked after (right up until the part where they cut a piece of my leg out lol 🤪).

Friendly reminder from me to you: wear your sunscreen this summer everyone. ❤️☀️

Today was a beautiful reminder of why we love this community so much. 💙💜🩷

For the past four years, Edward Jones-Financial Advisor: Kristina Kett, Edward Jones Financial Advisor: Dana Hicks and I have been proud to sponsor the Norfolk Haldimand Hike for Hospice in support of the Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice — a place that will comfort, dignity, and compassion to so many families during life’s hardest moments, and one that will continue to serve generations to come.

To all of the hikers, volunteers, donors, and familiar faces we saw today… thank you. The stories of strength, resilience, love, honour, and gratitude shared throughout the day are truly inspiring and a reminder of what community is all about.

We are incredibly proud to play a small part in something so meaningful and look forward to supporting this event for many years to come. 💛
