Looking for a great place for coffee in Leduc? This is Scott's review of Pastry Heaven & Coffee Shop.
Pastry Heaven in Leduc is doing something special, and I keep making excuses to go back. The location is clean and comfortable, and the service is fantastic. Even a brief chat with the proprietors will be enough for you to understand how passionate they are about delivering great food. I've enjoyed everything I've ordered at Pastry Heaven, but four items deserve special attention:
Sausage Pie: A savoury, rich filling and, crucially, pastry that stands up to that saucy filling. (No sogginess here!) Topped with some fresh microgreens, this is a deeply satisfying meal. A+
Peanut Butter Nutella Muffins: It's difficult to explain how good these are, and that's a problem I've had for a while. After my first bite, I felt like I'd lost the ability to speak. Yeah, that level of good. Rich chocolate, hazelnut, and peanut butter come together in a balance that's indulgent without being cloying, and the delicate crumb makes them all the more irresistible. A+
Honey Cake: Simply spectacular. Elegant, beautifully layered, and delicately sweet — the honey flavour is warm and present without overwhelming. Pair it with a coffee, and you'll wonder why you'd ever eat dessert anywhere else. (Their coffee is sourced from the best coffee vendor in Leduc. If you know, you know.) Again, A+
Soup: New soups every day mean I can't make a specific recommendation, but it doesn't matter. Every soup I've had here is one of those "next level" food experiences. It's easy to get complacent about soup, but not here. If they told me the daily soup was gravel with broken glass and diesel fuel, I'd still order a bowl. Grading the soup seems silly, so lets go with A++ and get in line to order some before it is gone.
