Further North Fabulous 💁🏼‍♀️💅🏻 It’s kinda crazy for me to think about but my documentary series currently has 20 episodes/features which I would’ve bet wouldn’t be the case when I started but here we are… and this cool cat is number 19! My good friend and side piece is a super passionate maker and a naturally sentimental dude to the point that listening to him speak makes my eyes tear up more than the final of season of Lost. It’s been a minute since I’ve talked about who I am and there’s been quite a few new followers in the past few weeks. Let me tell you a little bit about myself…

I’ve been a Mortgage Broker with for over 15 years. We have an AMAZING team of Mortgage Professional serving Edmonton and area. I’m passionate about helping people achieve their financial goals and the mortgage industry is something that’s constantly changing, so it’s definitely something that has kept me interested year after year in working in Real Estate.

i’ve always refer to myself as a serial hobbyist. I grew up doing renovations with my dad, making model kits, building bikes (both pedal and motor) and always challenged myself to learn new skills. Maybe it’s ADD that kept me jumping from one hobby to another, but making has always been a part of who I am. When you see me posting about what I’m doing, it’s 99% of the time for us. I moved away from commission woodworking years ago because it was to much of a distraction from what my real business is. The content side has remained because it keeps me engaged in the maker community and the benefits for having a channel has financial supported the work I’m doing.

One of the greatest gifts of being a father is being able to bring my kids along for the ride. I have three amazing kids and a beautiful wife that I get to share lots of adventures with and teach them some of the things that I’ve learned over the years. Just this Christmas I taught my wife (check out her business page to see what she’s been making) how to wood turn. I glad I have lots of scrap wood, because I see lots of Fish mallets and candlestick holders in her future.
