When a lender or company requests to review your credit reports after you've applied for credit, it results in a hard inquiry.👎

Hard inquiries usually impact credit scores.
- vs. soft inquiries, which are typically credit checks on promotional credit cards.
Soft inquiries do not impact your credit score.👍

Multiple hard inquiries within a certain/short time period for a home or auto loan are generally counted as one inquiry...... But if you are rate shopping at different lenders yourself and each of them pulls your credit, it will hurt your credit score.🤨
