🔐INTERNATIONAL FRAUD AWARENESS WEEK

Opportunistic attacks are a real scourge these days. There are a few simple habits we can use to protect ourselves against various kinds of frauds as part of a good cyberhygiene routine:

- I always look at the sender’s email address, it’s the key to detecting the vast majority of opportunistic email attacks.
- If the email has an attachment, I check whether it is legitimate. Attachments are the most common way to send malware.
- I always hover my mouse over links in an email to check whether the domain name is legitimate and avoid opening the door to cybercriminals!
- I consider the context of the email, for example, if I wasn’t expecting to receive anything like this, to avoid falling into a cybercriminal’s trap.
- I always go into analysis mode for emails and, in case of doubt, I don’t click on anything!
- Always be careful, the threat is everywhere.
