A few weeks ago our BMA Group team participated in the Hockey Helps the Homeless tournament! Thanks to the generosity of all the amazing people and businesses involved, we collectively raised $135,000 for local organizations here in the Saskatoon.

The Friendship Inn, YWCA Saskatoon, and Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre will all receive much needed financial support to continue the work they do in our community.

We’re proud to have been part of such a meaningful event and to have contributed to the remarkable success of Hockey Helps the Homeless. We look forward to next year’s tournament, where we can continue to make a difference together.

Meet Josh
Josh is one of the newest additions to the BMA Benefits team and supports us as our Marketing Associate. Josh is currently studying business at the University of Saskatchewan, working towards his degree in Finance. When he’s in the office he spends time creating marketing material, writing copy for documents, and curating informative email campaigns. Josh plans to further his studies by completing his financial planning certifications.

Josh is a busy guy. Apart from school and the BMA office, he spends the summertime running his company Horizon Roofing. When he finds time to relax he is most likely enjoying outdoor activities with his fiancé, Danielle and his dog, Mowgli. Golfing, frisbee, biking, camping, and spike ball to name a few.

Meet Joseph.
Joseph is BMA’s Sales and Service Manager. His focus lies on the daily operations of the business. This consists of meeting and helping plan administrators, signing up new employees and answering questions employees or business owners may have. Joseph has been working in the Employee Benefits industry for 5 years and obtained a Commerce degree at the University of Saskatchewan, specializing in Management. Additionally, he has obtained his Canadian Investment Funds and Life License from the Insurance Councils of Saskatchewan.

When he's not at the office, you can find Joe out at the golf course or watching football in the company of his friends. He also enjoys weekends at the lake and camping trips out west with his partner, Matana, and puppy, Layla.

Meet Don.
Don is the owner and president of BMA Benefits. He is a U of S Commerce alumni and brings 25 years of insurance and investment experience to his business.

Don prides himself on his Saskatchewan roots and is continually giving back to his community. Whether it’s serving as chair of the board at his home church, or volunteering with the Huskie Football Alumni, he is always looking to support the charities and initiatives involved in the community that shaped him.

Outside of work you will most likely find Don at his cabin. There he enjoys time riding his snowmobile, days on the lake ice fishing, playing card games with his family, and pontooning around the lake with his wife, Susan.
