Should I have a Holding Company? We run into this quiet often in our discussions both with business owners and passive investment owners. Each situation has nuances but the related article provides some tax planning considerations for owning a HoldCo including:
- Asset Protection
- Tax-efficient corporate investing and flexibility
- Future sale considerations
- Intergenerational wealth transfer planning https://livesocial.seismic.com/aYkI0W

"Being in the market is more important than timing the market"/"power of compounding/saving early". There is lots of sayings but sometimes visuals drive the idea home better. $10K invested ten years ago would be $31K. 30 years $188K.

Below is the chart showing the annual returns of the S&P500, sorted Highest to lowest, since 1950. Only 6 years fall between 5-10%. What this suggests is that very few years are "average".

Earnings growth is expected to reaccelerate in Canada, the US and internationally in the coming quarters after a difficult 2023 earnings growth year. This should provide for a constructive backdrop for risk assets.

To follow up on another post, gross domestic product (or GDP) is highly correlated to earnings, which is subsequently tied to index performance. If you break it down it seems simple, a strong economy leads to strong businesses which leads to strong stock performance.

I really like this analysis below. Even if you invested at the absolute worst time, you would have had some pretty amazing annualized returns. That thousand you invested in 1929 at the worst time would be worth 7,200,000 today. Its about time in the market, not timing the market.

On November 11, we pause and remember the brave men and women who served and continue to serve their country.
Lest we forget.

We had a great time celebrating the grand opening of the Eagle's Landing last Friday night and seeing some familiar faces. Looking forward to seeing the development further grow over the next few years with industrial, commercial and residential plans!
