WOW. What an incredible day at the 6th Annual 5K for the Kids Colour Edition

Thank you to every single person who came out to walk, run, volunteer, sponsor, donate, throw colour, cheer people on, and support St. Clair Child & Youth Services. Seeing hundreds of people come together for kids’ mental health was truly amazing.

From the bright shirts and smiling faces to the clouds of colour flying through Canatara Park… today was something special.

We are so grateful for this community and can’t wait to share LOTS of photos over the next few days, so stay tuned 📸

I also wanted to quickly address a bit of confusion at the pizza table today — that was completely my fault and not Giresi’s. They were incredibly supportive and generous as always. If you did not receive a pizza slice that you had paid for, please send me a message and I would be more than happy to reimburse you personally.

I’m incredibly excited to say that Mr. Walicki will be back again for our 2026 event, capturing all the fun, colour, smiles, and memories from the day. Seeing him there honestly feels a little full-circle for me, and I can’t wait. There may even be some of his new generation of photographers joining him as well.

I’m so excited to welcome The Fox and Hound Canine Retreat back as a sponsor for this year’s 6th Annual 5K for the Kids Run/Walk!

If you’re a dog lover in our community, chances are you’ve already heard of Fox & Hound — and for good reason. Known as Sarnia-Lambton’s luxury canine retreat, they offer everything from daycare and grooming to overnight stays in a safe, social, and beautifully designed space for dogs to thrive.

With 3,000 sq ft of indoor play space and acres of outdoor fun, plus thoughtful touches like a seasonal splash pad and even valet drop-off, they’ve truly created a one-of-a-kind experience for our four-legged family members.

Let’s give a big welcome to the newest sponsor for the 6th Annual 5K for the Kids — Blue Coast Coolers! ❄️

Talk about bringing the cool factor to this year’s event… Blue Coast Coolers provides mobile freezer and refrigerated trailer rentals — the kind of service you don’t always think about until you really need it. From events and catering to last-minute emergencies, they make cold storage simple, reliable, and stress-free.

There’s just something about a colour run that brings out the best kind of energy. It’s fun, it’s messy, it’s full of laughter—and it reminds you not to take life too seriously.

I’ve run a few over the years… sometimes solo, sometimes with a team (shoutout to Team Tighty Wh**ey 😂—yes, tank tops and oversized white underwear were fully part of the uniform). And no matter how we showed up, we always left covered in colour, smiling ear to ear, and feeling like kids again.

That’s the feeling I want to bring to this year’s 5K for the Kids.

While this isn’t an official colour run, I’m absolutely bringing the same vibe—fun, energy, and a whole lot of colour. So get ready to walk, run, laugh… and maybe get a little (or a lot) chalk-covered along the way.

All for an incredible cause—supporting the kids and families at St. Clair Child & Youth.
