Located at the head of Shuswap Lake, the Seymour Arm Community Hall serves as a community hub for one of the most remote communities in the Shuswap. It was built in 1971 for community functions, on land donated by the Daniels family.

It briefly served as a school in the 80’s and 90’s. The last teacher loved Seymour Arm so much that when the school closed, he stayed as a full-time resident!
The hall is maintained by the Seymour Arm Community Association (SACA), which acts as the de facto local government for the remote community. While the hall itself is a relatively new addition, it stands on the shoulders of a remarkable past.
The Seymour Arm area was once a 5,000-person Gold Rush boomtown called Ogden City that was destroyed by fire in the 1860s, later revived by English developers, and eventually became a ghost town (twice) before the land saw a new chapter begin in the 60’s.
The hall's very existence represents community resilience and a fascinating, if unconventional, local legacy.

Located in the heart of Blind Bay, the Blind Bay Memorial Hall has been a cornerstone of the South Shuswap community since it was built in 1947 by the Blind Bay Women's Institute on land donated by the Peterson family.
The hall was constructed as a living tribute to the local men and women who served in WWII, giving it a deeply rooted sense of community pride from the very beginning.
Over the decades, the hall has evolved into a vibrant hub for arts and culture. It hosts the popular Old-Fashioned Bingo nights featuring unique vintage slider cards, art workshops led by acclaimed local artists, musical dances, and seasonal events like the Artistry Christmas Gift and Bake Sale.
Today, maintained by the Blind Bay community, the hall continues to bring neighbours together. It is a place where history is honoured and new memories are made.

Located in the rolling hills west of Salmon Arm, the Gleneden Community Hall has been the heart of this Finnish farming settlement since 1929. The hall was built by volunteers on land donated by the Maki family.
The hall's most famous modern legacy? It's the birthplace of the Roots and Blues Festival. In 1992, Linda Tanaka hosted "Damn Right We Got the Blues" at the hall, a small concert that grew into one of BC's most successful summer music festivals.
Today, maintained by the Gleneden Community Association, the hall continues to serve its community with dances, concerts, and gatherings. Gleneden Hall is a living landmark where the floor still moves with the beat.
