The RCMP is taking the initiative to identify targeted areas and develop strategies to investigate and ultimately arrest criminals stealing copper wire and other precious metals. Here’s how you can take your own initiative to prevent this crime.

✔ Proper lighting and visible surveillance cameras
✔ Engrave precious metals so they can be identified and returned
✔ Be cautious about purchasing materials from suspicious sellers
✔ Secure your valuables
✔ Invest in fencing and ensure it's well-maintained
✔ Always report suspicious activity
