Sometimes, the path to where you're meant to be doesn't look the way you imagined.

My journey has taken me through different seasons, different jobs, and different experiences, all while doing my best to provide for my family and build a better future.

Today, I'm grateful to have a career in life insurance and financial services in Canada where I can help families make informed decisions about their financial future, family protection, and long-term goals.

Being a mother has also shaped the way I see this work. For me, it's not just about policies or numbers. It's about understanding what's important to each family and helping them put a plan in place for the people and future they care about most.

I'm thankful for every unexpected opportunity that brought me here, and I'm even more grateful for the people who have trusted me along the way.

Life insurance is just an expense.

Until it wasn't.

I used to think that way too.

For a long time, I saw life insurance as another monthly expense—something I could always think about later.

Then life happened.

I lost both of my parents to critical illness.

Nothing could have prepared us for the grief.

But during one of the hardest seasons of our lives, we also had to face the financial responsibilities that came with it.

That experience completely changed the way I looked at life insurance.

I realized it was never just about money.

It was about helping protect the people you love from carrying an even heavier burden during one of the most difficult moments of their lives.

It also made me realize the kind of legacy I want to leave for my own family.

Not just memories.

But the peace of mind of knowing I've planned ahead and done what I can to help protect them if life takes an unexpected turn.

That's why I do what I do today.

Not to convince everyone to buy life insurance.

But to help families understand what it can mean when it's needed most.

Life insurance is too expensive.

This is one of the most common concerns I hear.

And honestly, I understand.

When we hear the word *insurance*, it's easy to imagine a big monthly expense.

But sometimes, it helps to look at it a little differently.

Many of us can spend $3 or more on a cup of coffee without thinking twice.

So here's a question...

If you could set aside at least $1 a day, would that be possible?

For many families, building financial protection doesn't always start with a huge amount.

It starts with small, consistent steps.

The goal isn't to compare coffee to life insurance.

The goal is to remind ourselves that we often make room in our budget for the things we value.

I wish more parents knew this before relying only on their workplace life insurance.

One of the things I hear quite often is:

"I'm covered through work, so I should be okay."
