This can be a difficult topic to talk about especially when you just want to be excited about buying a home. But it's so important. We have many sad stories in our office about people who didn't take insurance. Two separate incidents stand out, both young people and just starting a family, where the main income earner passed away unexpectedly. In both instances, the couples decided they either didn't want to take the insurance at the time or wanted to look into it AFTER the hustle and bustle of buying a home. Insurance is so important and something you should not be "putting on hold" as you never know.

And just because you have insurance "through work" does not mean you have the coverage you need.
