Water and sewer service lines connect a homeowner's property to the municipalities water and wastewater systems. Homeowner's are responsible for repairs of water and sewer service lines located on their property from their property to the mainlines.

If a leak, break or clog occurs in the private portion of these lines, the homeowner is responsible for hiring a plumber or contractor and paying any of the associated repair costs. A breakdown to these lines could happen without warning resulting in an unexpected and costly emergency repair.

The lifespan of a service line depends on many factors including construction material, soil conditions and use and the location, number and species of nearby trees.

Unfortunately, it’s wildfire season again. The Lobstick fire in the Nisbet Forest remains uncontained and is now within range of several nearby communities.

Most insurance companies restrict new submissions within 50 KM of an active wildfire, with some extending restrictions even further.

If you are buying a property, changing insurers, or needing new coverage, timing matters during wildfire season.

Today's the day for the winter festival! The sun is shining, get out and enjoy it ☀️

Today is the big day! Come out and enjoy the fun at the Winter Festival!

Here’s what’s happening:
🥞 8:00–11:00am – Pancake Breakfast ($7/plate, under 5 free)
🎨 1:00–4:00pm – Indoor Activities (face painting, family games, market, art station & more!)
🔥 1:00–4:00pm – Outdoor Fun (wagon rides, bonfire & s’mores, mini rink, snowshoes & more!)
⛸️ 4:00–5:30pm – Shinny
🥘 5:00–6:30pm – Vipers Fundraiser Supper (pre-purchase required by March 10)
⛸️ 6:30–8:00pm – Public Skating
PLUS 🥌 the 2-Person Curling Funspiel runs March 13 & 14!
Bring your family, invite your friends, and plan to spend the day with us. Most activities are free for all ages (excluding fundraisers).
