Growing up, Alicia King watched women balance careers, family responsibilities and farm work while helping shape important decisions behind the scenes. Looking back, she now has a deeper appreciation for those contributions.

Today, Alicia and her husband Dany operate Six Maples Farm in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Beyond the farm, Alicia supports producers across the province through her work with the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture.

We're proud to support the Regina & District Food Bank's new modular indoor farm, an innovative project that will help strengthen local food security.

The farm will produce fresh leafy greens year-round and provide a reliable source of nutritious food for the 17,000 people the organization serves each month.

Planning for the future starts with the right support.

From farm transition planning to digital tools and advisory services, FCC employees work alongside producers to help them make informed decisions and prepare for what's next.
This year, FCC's enhanced Transition Loan resulted in $140 million in financing for young farmers and entrepreneurs, while more than 28,000 farmers used FCC AgExpert to manage 7.6 million acres.

FCC advisors completed 737 farm transition engagements and 373 advisory engagements, helping farm families plan with confidence and navigate important business decisions.
That support is making a measurable difference. Farm operations that participated in our transition advisory services saw an 18% average productivity advantage, helping position their businesses for long-term success.
