🌊✈️ Back from Newfoundland! 🇨🇦🤝

Our team just got back from an incredible trip to Newfoundland, where we had the awesome opportunity to represent the North Cariboo at the National Community Futures Conference! 🌲🗣️

It was an inspiring few days full of connection, learning, and idea-sharing with incredible folks from across the country. We’re feeling energized and full of fresh ideas to bring back to our community.

We’re excited to take what we’ve learned and put it into action.

Meet Kyle Hackney, our newest Volunteer board member at Community Futures North Cariboo! With a strong background in industrial operations, he spent a decade in the coal mining industry before moving to Quesnel in 2014 to join West Fraser at CPP. Over the next five years, he advanced from Fiber-Line Shift Supervisor to Machine Superintendent before transitioning to QRP as Production Manager in 2019. Following QRP’s acquisition by Millar Western Forest Products in 2024, he stepped into the role of General Manager, bringing a wealth of leadership and operational expertise to our team. We’re excited to have him on board!
