Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Sasuchan! 🍂🦃

There's plenty to be thankful for this season, from the people we work alongside to the communities and partnerships that make what we do possible!

We hope everyone enjoys a wonderful long weekend filled with good food, great company, and maybe an extra helping of pumpkin pie! 🥧🍁

🚧 Training opportunity for Takla Nation members! 🚧

Sasuchan is inviting interested community members to apply for a fully funded, six-week Enhanced Combination Construction Course in Prince George.

Participants will receive hands-on training on three machines:

🔸 Excavator
🔸 Wheel loader
🔸 Rock truck

The program also includes four compliance courses and industry-recognized certifications to help prepare participants for entry-level employment.

Today, we pause to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and honour residential school Survivors, their families, and the children who never returned home. 🧡

For Sasuchan, this day is deeply connected to the community we serve and the future we are working to build for Takla Nation.

We take this time to reflect on the truths of the past, honour the strength and resilience of Indigenous peoples, and recognize the responsibility we all carry in moving reconciliation forward. This work extends beyond September 30 and continues through the relationships we build, the opportunities we create, and the way we show up for our communities.

Our office is closed today in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and will reopen Thursday, October 1.

What a wonderful visit to Takla! 😊

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our Community Update Meeting and welcomed the Sasuchan team into the community.

It was a great evening of sharing what Sasuchan has been working on, where we are heading, and what we are working toward for Takla Nation. We truly appreciated everyone who took the time to attend and spend the evening with us.

A special thank you to the Takla Trading Post restaurant team for the phenomenal meal and warm hospitality!

During our visit, we also had the opportunity to stop by Nus Wadeezulh Community School to introduce our team and our partners at Sasuchan Environmental LP to the students. We were grateful for the warm welcome and the chance to make those connections.

Thank you, Takla, for welcoming us and supporting our work. We are grateful for the time together and excited about what we can continue building for Takla Nation! 💛

Sasuchan is looking forward to bringing everyone together for a Community Update Meeting this September.

We are planning the meeting for the evening so community members who work during the day have a better opportunity to attend. Everyone in the community is welcome!

As we prepare, we want to hear what is on your mind. What would you like to learn more about? Are there updates you would like to hear? What questions have you been wanting to ask?

Your questions will help us better understand community interests, prepare helpful information, and contribute to a meaningful conversation at the meeting.
