Regrettably, Tim's current family is facing severe allergy issues and can no longer provide a suitable environment. We are seeking a new forever home for this charming boy, where he can thrive before Christmas. Tim loves his baths and loves to be brushed he does walk good on a leash he does like cats and other dogs. But if you have a dog we would need to do a meet and greet to make sure that they would get along.
Tim was born at the spca so we will be picky on where he goes hahaha and he does need a fenced yard if you would love to make his wish come true with his forever home at Christmas please fill out an online application or stop at the spca and fill one out.

Happy Thursday! Meet TWIX. He's part of the chocolate bar litter (I'll post some more in the comments). 2-months-old. Mixed breed (not sure exactly but based on paw size he's going to be a bigger fella).

He's currently under the care of the Saskatoon SPCA and as you can see, on top of being adorable he's shocked... SHOCKED... that he hasn't found his forever home yet.

We should fix that, yes? Touch base with the SPCA to set up a hang!

Just an appreciation post for these buckets!!!

They have helped to divert food scraps from the landfill and have taken scraps from your kitchens to our compost piles!

These pails held wine kits once, and now collect food scraps each week! Our previous wine pail supplier has too much demand and can't supply pails anymore. But if you know anyone that might have pails that can be reused, let me know!

And , if you see one of these in the "wild" on Mondays know that, that household is doing it's part to reduce its waste, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and are doing their part in creating something beneficial to the planet from something that would otherwise be wasted.

I have been coming to Canada from Jamaica for about six years now through the Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program. I first started in Nova Scotia in 2019 before moving to Ontario.

On this farm I grade and pack asparagus. I came to Canada to make a better life for myself and my family. I have two kids. They’re back home with their grandma, their father and aunties. My daughter is five and my son is two. It’s hard to leave them when they’re this young still.

Daily, I communicate with my family by video calls. I would Canadians to know that we’re hard working people. We’re definitely hard working. Once we put our mind to something, we definitely can do it.

Je venais de la Jamaïque au Canada depuis environ six ans maintenant dans le cadre du Programme des travailleurs agricoles saisonniers. J’ai commencé en Nouvelle-Écosse en 2019 avant de déménager en Ontario.

À cette ferme, je classe et emballe les asperges. Je suis venue au Canada pour améliorer ma vie et celle de ma famille. J’ai deux enfants. Ils sont de retour à la maison avec leur grand-mère, leur père et leurs tantes. Ma fille a cinq ans et mon fils deux ans. C’est difficile de les quitter quand ils sont encore si jeunes.

Je communique tous les jours avec ma famille par appels vidéo. J’aimerais que les Canadiens sachent que nous sommes des gens qui travaillons fort. Nous travaillons vraiment fort. Une fois que nous avons réfléchi à quelque chose, on y parvient.
