Here’s how to keep the H2-Oh-No! out of your home:
Clean Those Gutters and Downspouts:
Think of them as your home’s drainage superhighway—clogged gutters = water traffic jam.
✔ Clear out leaves, twigs, and mystery gunk.
✔ Make sure downspouts are aiming 5–10 feet away from your foundation—not your basement!
Give Your Roof Some Love:
Your roof works hard—don’t ignore it!
✔ Check for missing or damaged shingles.
✔ Seal up flashing around chimneys and vents so water doesn’t sneak in uninvited.
Grade Like a Pro (No Report Card Required):
Water should run away from your house, not towards it like a lost puppy.
✔ Make sure the ground slopes away from the foundation—think natural water slide, but backwards.
Fortify Your Walls & Foundation:
