For those of you who have dropped your taxes off don’t forget to pick up your tax pkg. please be aware there are a greater number of issues with cra. It’s a good idea for everyone to have access to their own cra accounts so you can ready your mail and get answers to changes to your returns.

Just so you know I am back in the shop this week but taxes will not be available for pickup until Friday. I was out sick all last week with the cold and sore throat virus and do not want to have anyone else catch it. Should be past contagious stage at that point.

Property taxes notices have been mailed out! The home owner grants must be applied for online or by telephone. FYI, my aged parents phoned theirs in last year and they did not receive one of the grants because it was overlooked! SonIF you are using this method verify that lol of your grants have been applied for! I am providing application services for those that do not have internet access or the know how, for a modest fee.

Just some free info out there! If you have got rrsps for Jan and Feb of 2025, you MUST claim them in 2024, you do not have to use them but you must claim them. They should be available near the end of March.
All companies are supposed to have their T4’s and summary’s into CRA by Feb 28, do not be lazy, this can adversely affect your employees because if revenue Canada cannot verify them it may delay their tax refunds. This info includes any banking Institutions that fail to load copies of rrsp slips, T5’s etc. many tax payers are losing deductions because of this situation. If you are eligible for the worker benefit make sure you are including your RC210, CRA has been a little sloppy in the delivery of those tax slips, you may have to access them online.

Important Tax Tip!
If you have dropped your taxes off at a tax preparation location and you have not gone back to pay for preparation or to sign the t183 form and you wonder why your taxes have not been filed then don’t be surprised!
Expecting your taxes to be filed without paying is like driving your vehicle to the gas pumps, sitting there and assuming the gas is magically going in! Then you are surprised and irritated when you drive away and run out of gas. So IF you have dropped your taxes off, it’s your responsibility to check to see if they are filed.

So what do you do when you want to get a jump on your hydroponic lettuces? Go buy the plants trim back the leaves, wash out the roots and presto continuous sale greens until the rest of the plants catch up. Heater brings the water temp up to above 67 so the plants will thrive.😁
