If you are eligible to receive the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) you may be eligible for some of these other benefits in B.C.:
B.C. Emergency Benefit for Workers
A $1,000 one-time tax-free payment will be available to certain individuals who lost income due to COVID-19. The application process will be open soon.

B.C. Hydro COVID-19 Relief Fund
A credit applied on your B.C. Hydro bill, equal to up to three months of your average monthly electricity consumption between April 1, 2019 and March 31, 2020. The application process is expected to be open this week.

B.C. Rental Supplement
Households may be eligible for rental supplements for up to $500 per month, paid directly to landlords. Information on basic eligibility will be available on BC Housingβs website soon and the application process is expected to be made available online in mid-April.

Mortgage Support
You may be eligible to defer your mortgage payments for up to 6 months. Contact your financial institution for more information or to request a deferral.
Businesses
If you are a business owner and your operations have been affected by COVID-19, it may be more advantageous to apply for the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy instead of the CERB.
