Ontario government is taking bold steps to tackle car theft and will introduce new legislation that, if passed, will bring stricter penalties for auto theft, carjackings and stunt driving. These include:

For car thefts
🚫10-year suspension for a first offence.
🚫15-year suspension for a second offence.
🚫Lifetime suspension for a third offence

For stunt driving
🚫1-year suspension for a first offence.
🚫3-year suspension for a second offence.
🚫Lifetime suspension for a third offence

Solar Eclipse from my backyard...a magical moment and a bit scary when for few minutes everything went dark and then bright sun shine came back...making me believe Allah Subhana taAla can do anything in one second! It was eerily silent all around when it was happening. Alhumdulillah for giving us bright sun light and magical moonlight.

With a total solar eclipse set to pass over parts of Canada in less than a week, researchers at Toronto’s Sunnybrook Research Institute are warning about a possible surge in traffic fatalities. To help prevent another possible surge in traffic fatalities, please respect speed limits, minimize distractions, allow more headway, wear a seat belt and never drive impaired, says Dr. John Staples, co-investigator of the study and a clinical associate professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia.
