šØ Long post alert šØ
If you make it to the end, I hope it speaks to you!
āMoney canāt buy happiness.ā
Heard often and yet, itās just not true. š«£
Especially in this day and age.
What is happiness?
Security? Peace of mind?
Freedom of time? Being with those you love?
Going on vacation? Favourite foods?
Acts of love?
Call me old fashioned but I believe money helps EXPONENTIALLY in ALL of these categories. š
āIf you donāt think money matters- you havenāt given enough of it away.ā
šNow thatās a quote I can get behind! š
As someone who struggled nearly their entire life (ok, my entire life..) with finances, the difference in mindset is insane when youāre not constantly coming from a place of scarcity.
If you struggle with money- imagine someone gave you enough to cover all your debts, costs, and even retirement. š¤Æ
What would you do with yourself?
How would that feel?
If you donāt struggle with money, I guarantee you know someone who does- imagine if they were given that same financial support.
How would that change their life?
I see post after post about the cost of living going up and the wages just not matching and I know it all too well. šøšø
That stress can, (and will) slowly take us out. IYKYK
But, for the first time in my life- not only am I NOT struggling; but I can finally see the progress Iām making towards actually getting ahead. š
This feeling is nothing like anything I can put into words. And it breaks my heart to see those around me feeling like they canāt get anywhere.
And itās most likely true- how can you expect to get ahead doing the same thing youāve always done?
It hasnāt worked yet, and now the only thing changing is that youāre running out of time.
I think we can all agree the current industry is doing NOTHING for the lower and middle class families and individuals.
The ones who need the most help, get no help⦠or a 1-800 numberā¦
I was raised in the generation that was told to go to school, get a job, work your way up.
I did that in every job I had, and yet it got me nowhere.
Looking back now, itās obvious. No one in those industries and positions are where I want to be in life.
Interview your future self- is this what youāre spending 40 years to strive for?
Will it be worth it?
Will your body hold up?
Your mind?
Your relationships?
It took me so much longer than Iāll ever admit (honestly, I STILL struggle with it) that route will never get me to where I want to be.
The employee mindset is a quick and certain way to depression. (While you pad someone elseās wallet.)
When I first got started with our financial brokerage, it was for selfish reasons- I wanted to learn about the industry for my own sake, as I knew nothing about finances. And once I saw it was a very well-paying industry, where you can build up passive/residual income to pay you while you sleep (or travel, or spend time with family).
That, along with getting the provincial licensing course for a sweet discount. I was sold. (Love me some free education!)
The shift now is seeing what we can truly do for the average Canadian, (or poverty stricken, or even insanely rich).
We can help everyone and seeing that impact firsthand has been life changing.
The best part? Watching the growth of people in this company.
Iāve never been part of an environment that was so positive and supportive of personal growth and just dreaming bigger.
Even in just a few months, the confidence and change in our agents is amazing.
Iāve been setting this on the back burner for too long now; part of me wants to know all the ins and outs and have a āperfectā time to get going; but thatās never going to happen.
Luckily it doesnāt need to!
As we are the highest regulated industry; and in compliance with that- we have the most exceptional support staff holding our hands the whole way. Ensuring every t is crossed and i has been dotted. Everything done in the best interest of the client, with no cost to them.
I get to learn something new every single day.
We have been expanding so fast, and Iām not ready to be left behind- and plan on bringing up as many of you with me as possible.
We get one life, is this really how we want to spend it?
Yes, itās a long post. š
But the people it was meant for are still reading, and to those who are- feel free to reach out.
We clearly have nothing more to lose, but those āwhat ifsā will drive you mad.
Even if youāre not interested in the business, but want to see what we do for clients- letās chat. No commitments needed.
