Every number represents a choice.
From July 31 to Aug. 3, Alberta RCMP conducted enhanced traffic safety enforcement across the province, issuing 1,107 traffic-related tickets and removing 90 impaired drivers from Alberta roads. The other top offences included speeding, distracted driving and seatbelt infractions.
During the same period, there were 28 injury collisions and five fatal collisions.
“Road safety is a shared responsibility. We all have a role to play in keeping Alberta’s roads safe. Choices such as driving sober, staying focused behind the wheel, adjusting your driving to road and weather conditions, and buckling up can save lives.”
— Sgt. Darrin Turnbull, Alberta RCMP Traffic Services
Let's make choices that help everyone get home safely.
