📢 Bank of Canada Holds Rate Again

The Bank of Canada announced today that it is holding its overnight lending rate at 2.25%, marking the fifth consecutive rate hold.

What does this mean for homeowners and buyers?

✅ Variable-rate mortgages and HELOCs remain unchanged for now.
✅ Fixed mortgage rates are not directly tied to the Bank of Canada rate. They are influenced by bond markets and lender pricing. They remain in the low 4's for purchases

For many buyers, today's rate announcement changes very little. The bigger conversation continues to be about affordability, monthly payments, and finding the right mortgage strategy for your goals.
