Last weekend was Marathon Weekend in Ottawa, and our very own Zack Harmath was running in the big race.

The Halpenny team knows very well how hard Zack has prepared for this run after months of mid-day outfit changes and lunch practice jogs.

Our London office's Windley Ely CEO Dan Pompilii was the grill master on the BBQ today.

It’s a monthly ritual that he loves to do for the staff as he feels it’s a great time to connect and catch up.

And Dan is throwing the challenge to Greg Fisk, our President in Toronto and Richard Massie, our Halpenny CEO in Ottawa to do the same. 😊

We’re proud to support initiatives that make a meaningful impact in our community and grateful for the opportunity to give back alongside so many other local organizations and volunteers.

We’re pleased to welcome Darryll Massiah to the Halpenny team as Vice-President – Public Sector.

Darryll brings extensive experience in municipal and public sector insurance, with a strong background in underwriting, risk management, and relationship leadership across both the carrier and brokerage sides of the industry. Most recently, he led municipal and public administration business across the region at Intact Public Entities. His previous experience has equipped him with a well-rounded perspective and deep understanding of the municipal space.

At Halpenny, Darryll will lead and continue to grow our Municipality Program, a longstanding part of our business that has proudly served clients since 1939. His leadership and industry expertise will further strengthen this important area of our organization.

Halpenny is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan Brookshaw, CPA as Chief Financial Officer.

Ryan currently serves as CFO of Windley Ely and will now assume the additional role of CFO of Halpenny. In his role at Windley Ely, Ryan has been responsible for financial management, reporting, and supporting the company’s growth. A CPA with a background in public accounting, he brings a strong, practical understanding of financial operations and discipline.

Following the recent acquisition of Windley Ely, Ryan will lead the finance function across both organizations, providing consistency, alignment, and oversight as Halpenny continues its growth strategy.

Ryan’s experience and deep familiarity with both businesses position him well to support the firm’s next phase of development.
