🏦 Bank of Canada Lowers Interest Rates

The Bank of Canada (BoC) has taken action, reducing the overnight target rate to 4.50%, which is now 50 basis points below its peak of 5.00%. This move comes as inflation cools and the Canadian economy shows signs of weakness.

Tiff Macklem, the Bank of Canada governor, stated that if inflation continues to ease as expected, further cuts in our policy interest rate are likely. The timing of these cuts will depend on economic data and opposing forces at play.

🔹 The Challenge: A client was going through a tough time. She had lost her job, her husband had left her, and she was on the brink of losing her home to the bank. She had received a foreclosure notice and was about to list her home for pennies on the dollar. Her credit was in shambles due to $98K in unpaid credit card debt, amounting to $2,041.67 monthly, plus a $3500 mortgage+ property taxes,+ car payment + living expenses.

You love your home, but you can’t afford your mortgage payments. You are thinking of selling your home or filing for bankruptcy. But wait, there may be a better way.
