Do you want to pay more tax?
I suspect you answered that question with a resounding “NO!”
If a proposed tax on private health and dental plans moves forward, this is exactly what will happen to all Canadians who have employee benefits paid for by their employer.
The proposed tax on private health and dental plans will mean that the amount of premium paid by the employer for group benefits program will become a taxable benefit. The tax on this benefit will come off pay cheques and take home pays will decrease.
We’ve been working across the industry to call people to action against the tax. For the physical, mental and financial health of Canadians, we are opposed to it.
