The second annual Christmas Food Drive!
All four of our locations are collecting donations!
In the season of giving, stop by and leave a donation!
We're also participating in Light Up The Park Metcalfe, stop by, grab a bowl of chilli and don't forget your food donation!
Each location has a local food bank, where all donations will be distributed!

Starting today, May 16th, our updated hours will run through to August 29th.

Please note: on Fridays we now close at 4:00 p.m.
Monday through Thursday hours remain 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Hicks Insurance was proud to participate in North Gower Marlborough Public School (NGMPS), grade 4/5 classes community based project about the importance of supporting local businesses!
Each group of students adopted and learned about a local business through research and interviews. The students created buttons of support local and cards of local barns and flowers to sell along with a marketing poster for each business. There were a couple of student led tours and presentations about the businesses that were incredible. Hicks Insurance also donated a few small prizes that were raffled off at the schools spring fundraiser at the end of the tour. All proceeds were split between the NGMPS and the local North Gower Food Bank!

While participating in the 2025 Ottawa Valley Farm Show, Hicks Insurance Brokers was the successful bidder of the “Prior Chest Nuts” Pink Tractor, where proceeds go to support the local organization of cancer survivors. Joyce Trafford is one of the group members and is in charge of fundraising for the organization.

The “Prior Chest Nuts” are a group of dedicated breast cancer survivors who come together to enjoy and promote the sport of dragon boat paddling and to promote Breast Cancer Survivorship in their local communities.

Hicks Insurance Brokers is happy to announce that the “Prior Chest Nuts” Pink Tractor is being donated back to this great cause and will be auctioned off at the upcoming 2025 Carp Fair. It can be seen alongside the beautiful quilt donated by Joyce Trafford herself, which will also be up on the auction block. The bidding for the tractor will begin Thursday, September 25 and sold on Saturday, September 27th at the antique auction.
