With Mother’s Day this month, we asked our team to share about the moms who shaped them. Today, Kaitlin is honouring her mom.

"My mom was truly one of a kind. Strong, funny, caring, and stubborn in the best way, she was the type of person who would do absolutely anything for the people she loved.

A lot of who I am today is because of her, and I catch myself saying or doing things all the time that remind me just how much of her I carry with me.

I miss her every day, but I’m so grateful for the memories, the lessons, and the love she gave us.

🌸 Mother’s Day is a time to honor the women who shaped us — those beside us, and those we carry in our hearts. 🌸

This Mother’s Day month, we are celebrating our own mothers.

Today, I’m remembering my mother, who left us far too soon. More than 20 years later, she is still missed so deeply.

My mother, Mrs. Alice Hanlon, was loving, compassionate, incredibly giving, and endlessly resourceful. She could make or fix just about anything, long before the internet made it easy.

It is heartbreaking that she didn’t get to share much of life with her grandchildren, and that they didn’t get the chance to truly know her. She would have been such a beautiful presence in their lives, and I know how proud she would be of the incredible people they’ve become.

My father still adores her and misses her every day.

A mother’s love doesn’t end — it becomes a legacy.
I am grateful every day that you were my Mom.

Forever missed. Forever shaping who we are. 🤍
