When first starting out you anticipate having a hectic schedule, knowing that you're going to have things to plan around. One thing many small business owners regret not putting into their schedules in the beginning was time to think. Giving yourself time to think away from your to do lists and emails allows you to look at things fresh, whether it’s something you've been stuck on all day, or a new idea. Scheduling time means that you don't have to rush through things, you can simply save them for that section of the day giving them your full attention.

One sign of business owner burnout a lot of people overlook is feeling like you're still at work even when you're not. A lot of people assume that this is just the reality of owning a business, constantly thinking about work when you're supposed to be relaxing. However, it is proof that you are never really stepping away from work, remaining in work mode as far as your brain is concerned. This leads to less rest even when you try, which of course can lead to burnout happening quicker than you think.
