The AWC connects women who are passionate about agriculture and food, providing them with an opportunity to network – and invest in one another – as they work to improve their family life, community, career and industry. In just two short hours, our After Harvest Client Appreciation BBQ raised $1,500 in support of Porch Light, helping strengthen mental wellness and break stigmas in rural communities.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, donated, and supported this great cause! 🙌 Together, we will foster a culture of understanding, resilience, and support, ensuring that no one faces mental wellness struggles alone.

We’re proud to spotlight our client of 51 years, Waldron Ranch Grazing Coop. They were established in 1962 when 116 southern Alberta ranchers came together to purchase 44,000 acres of foothills of grazing land for their cattle.

Today, nearly 30,535-acres of Waldron Ranch are protected through a Conservation
Easement Agreement with Nature Conservancy of Canada. Preserving the native grasslands from subdivision and cultivation, while also ensuring the protection of the
headwaters of the South Saskatchewan drainage basin, which provide water for millions of Canadians and countless wildlife species. Through their conservation work, Waldron Ranch is preserving the native grasslands exactly as it has been for centuries, while allowing grazing to continue in much the same way it has always been.

Farmers rise before dawn, battle the elements and aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty – all to put food on tables from coast to coast to coast. And that resilience is the foundation our company was built on 80 years ago.

In 1945, a small group of Prairie farmers faced a challenge only they truly understood. When traditional insurers wouldn’t meet their needs, they banded together. What started as a way to protect their own financial futures grew into something greater: a co-operative for their neighbours, their communities and their country.

Eight decades later, the company they founded – Co-operators – has become one of Canada’s largest homegrown financial service providers. Though times have changed, we haven’t forgotten our roots. Our commitment to the Canadian farming industry remains as strong today as it was in 1945. We know that no matter what farmers encounter – trade disputes, market volatility, unpredictable weather and more – they always show up. We’ll always be proud to stand strong with them.
