Bank of Canada upadate!

The Bank has decided to keep its overnight target rate unchanged at 5.00%, which is in line with the market's expectations. This marks the fifth consecutive time that the Bank has maintained its interest rate.

In its statement, the Bank emphasized its ongoing concern about the inflation outlook and expressed its desire to observe sustained easing in core inflation. The Bank will continue to monitor various economic factors such as demand and supply in the economy, inflation expectations, wage growth, and corporate pricing behaviour.

While the Bank has decided to keep its interest rate unchanged, there are indications that rate cuts may be introduced in the second half of the year.
