Established in 1961, Guaranteed Funeral Deposits of Canada Fraternal (GFD) is an independent, not-for-profit, association of licensed bereavement establishments. Our organization invests, monitors and reports on bereavement funds. We invest the pre-paid funds into interest generating products such as Trust, Insurance and Annuities. We also provide training and marketing support to our Members whic

Former Director Murray Kidd Announcement of Passing

The Board and Staff of GFD are saddened by the loss of a past long-time board member, Murray Kidd. GFD greatly valued Murray’s insight and the tremendous contribution he made while he served on the board. He had a true passion for his profession, and lived a life of service which he will long be remembered for.

GFD extends most sincere condolences to all of Murray’s family and friends.

Check out the OACFP Virtual Embalming Symposium being held on December 7th!

This program will provide attendees with an overview of proven and reliable procedures and techniques to enhance their current embalming knowledge and skillset.

It is designed as a “back to basics” tune-up, this program will help attendees “level up” their skills to ensure that the casket stays open and the family is left with a beautiful memory picture of the deceased.
