This recognition is incredibly meaningful to me, especially after a year of pouring my heart into co-chairing the Black BRG at IGM Financial Inc.

Recently, I had the profound privilege of meeting Herb Carnegie's family and attending the screening of the powerful documentary “Beyond Their Years: The Incredible Legacies of Herb Carnegie and Buck O’Neil,”

Herb's story of resilience touched me deeply. Despite facing adversity in hockey, he never let it dim his spirit. His legacy of courage and determination is a beacon of hope for us all. As I accept this award, I do so with a profound sense of gratitude and responsibility.

Let's continue to champion diversity and inclusion in hockey and beyond. Join me in supporting Black youth and spreading kindness wherever we go. Together, we can make a difference! 🌟🏒

Starting off Black History Month in an incredible way with my fellow Black advisors at IGM! Attended the viewing of the Herb Carnegie movie at the CI Summit, and it was an emotional and truly inspirational experience. Witnessing these men persevere through rejection was incredibly moving. They paved the way for us to run, and I’m proud to be a part of Herb Carnegie’s legacy at IGM.
