It was great to connect with the industry, promoting North Bay, and celebrating the talent and productions helping strengthen Northern Ontario's creative sector.

✈️ A Great Day for North Bay! ✈️

Today we celebrated the inaugural arrival and departure of WestJet’s new seasonal service between North Bay and Calgary!

It was incredible to see YYB filled with travellers, excitement, and smiling faces as this new route officially took flight. One of the highlights of the day was welcoming home the flight’s pilot, a proud North Bay native, who was greeted by family and friends upon arrival.

Operating every Friday and Monday through September, this service strengthens our connections to Western Canada and creates new opportunities for residents, visitors, and businesses.

✈️ Join us at the North Bay Waterfront for one of the city's most exciting summer traditions! Armed Forces Day returns today from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., featuring interactive displays, military equipment, demonstrations, and family-friendly activities for all ages.

This annual event celebrates the long-standing partnership between the Canadian Armed Forces and the United States Air Force, who have worked together in North Bay for more than 70 years through NORAD to support the defence of North America.

If you’re looking for a unique way to experience Lake Nipissing this summer, hop aboard the Chief Commanda II for a memorable family outing.

From the moment you arrive at Kings Landing, the experience feels special, from meeting the friendly captains to taking in the beautiful waterfront views before departure.

The Chief Commanda II has three decks to explore, giving no shortage of incredible viewpoints. However, the upper deck offers some of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the lake.

This voyage took us past the historic Manitou Islands, a place rich in local Anishinaabe history and culture.

The 1.5-hour Manitou Islands Scenic Cruise was the perfect length for our family with little ones while offering plenty to see. This is one of the many cruise options offered through the summer/fall season.
