My second stop on Friday was to Tearmann Society for Abused Women, a shelter that provides support, understanding, and assistance to abused women and their children. I had a great chat with Board Chair Raylene and In house councillor Stacey; these ladies to amazing work and we are glad to support them. Blair continued his trend of making a donation to help ensure that the children would have a grade and fun bc Christmas.

Last Friday I made a few stops around town to donate on behalf of my clients. Fist stop was Roots for Youth; an organization that helps youth with safety and shelter. Had a good chat with In-house coordinator Carson Ripoll, who told me about the different programs they offer. My son Blair also made his own contribution to help those in need!

Today, I took time out to stop by New Glasgow Academy to drop off a Christmas donation on behalf of my clients; my trusty Elf Blair joined me to make his own donation!! We heard from Kelly about the Breakfast Program and how they have upwards of 50 students drop in for breakfast on a daily basis.

On Friday, the Manulife Wealth Pin Seekers joined together with 170 fellow golfers to raise funds in support of Summer Street. It was a great day on and off the course as we helped raise $369,519 for the organization. Huge shout out to the organizing committee, all the volunteers, the clients who helped with our putts, the kitchen staff and servers for another great meal, all the sponsors, and the donors for all their support. Thanks to Chris MacDonald, Bob Ferguson, Robert Morton, and Scott Duggan for joining me on the links.

The 30th Annual Summer Street Scramble tees off on Friday morning at Abercrombie Country Club. Summer Street is an amazing organization that impacts the lives of people with diverse abilities. Over 175 golfers participate in the event, and funds raised help the organization to create opportunities that are mutually beneficial for clients and the community. I am proud to be a Board memeber for the past 20 plus years, and have seen the huge strides that our clients have made thanks to the generosity of donors.
