Had a great summer vacay with the Skidlets. Thanks heaps to Alex (his family business is - check it out!) for the boat and cabin on Galiano Island. Watched the sunset from shell beach near Montague Hbr. After that, we switched from to spent a night on the town in Vic at Hermann’s Jazz club for some excellent fast-hands Jazz! Hi folks! I have decided to join my Financial Advisor's Industry Association (Advocis) in fundraising for a Cure for Cancer. I work hard to assist my clients financially in the event of a serious illness diagnosis, and I am a (fairly) avid cyclist, and I love a good fundraising opportunity! So, this opportunity to be a part of is a fabulous one for me. And, your donations will mean a ton to my program! My goal is to raise at least $1,000 by August 28th. I plan to ride the 100KM route on my new-to-me Trek Portland (name is 'Stories' because of his long, diverse, and storied history...). So excited, and I hope that many of my friends, family and clients will join me!

Updated my Google - My Business page. Enjoying working from the home office these days! Had to set up a shade sail (an old Laser dingy sail!), and it does the job. Beauty view overlooking Long Lake in Nanaimo.

Here's a little blog post I wrote late last week. Since so many of my clients are Small Business Owners, I wanted to take a moment to summarize the good news announcement of subsidies targeting business owners.

Justin Trudeau made a(nother) huge announcement, specific to Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs. Three items include: (1) Payroll Subsidy to 75%, (2) Guaranteed Interest Free Loan, and (3) Deferral on Import Duties and HST/GST Payments.
