I had a chance to speak with Karl Yu of the Nanaimo News Bulletin recently. We talked about what unions have done for both unionized and non-unionized workers, and the services that CUPE Local 1858 members provide at Vancouver Island University.

As we head into the Labour Day weekend, I want to give a shout out to Local 1858 members. You Rock!! Have a great long weekend.

In solidarity,
Tiffany McLaughlin
President, Local 1858
