Money isn’t really about the money — it’s about what it means.

For some of us, especially immigrants, money is security: rent paid, bills covered, a little cushion ‘just in case.’ For others, it’s freedom: a coffee without guilt, sending a care package home, or finally booking that flight to see family.

Arguments about spending or saving? Usually, it’s not about the $50 dinner — it’s about what money represents.

The trick is asking each other: ‘What does money mean to you?’
Once you understand that, decisions get easier, tension softens, and it even becomes a little fun.

In 2009, I came to Canada alone, leaving behind my little children and everything familiar. Many questioned my decision — even my motherhood. But I had a bigger vision, not for myself, but for them.

The journey wasn’t easy. There were sacrifices, tears, and lonely days. Sometimes you have to give up one thing to gain something greater.

Confidence grows when you face what once scared you.

I used to be terrified of talking to people. As a kid, my father would send us to our room whenever we had visitors. I was introverted, easily intimidated, and insecure — especially around people who seemed “above” me.

Even small conversations felt impossible.

But I started forcing myself to try, little by little. Every time I faced that fear, I gained a bit more confidence.

And now, in my work and business, connecting with people is part of my everyday life — something that used to scare me no longer holds me back.

If you’re facing something that scares you, start small. One brave step at a time, and you’ll be amazed at how far you can go. What once felt impossible can become your strength. 💛✨

This year marks a special milestone for our family—10 years of building our life in Canada, a place we proudly call home. Our family has grown with my 3 beautiful daughters-in-law and our new bundle of joy! 👶💛

We are deeply thankful and blessed for every opportunity, every challenge, and every moment that has brought us here.
