August skies are a great time to find some of the most recognizable sights overhead:

⭐ Start with the Big Dipper

🧭 Use it to help find Polaris, the North Star

✨ Look for the distinctive “W” of Cassiopeia

🔭 Find Vega, Deneb and Altair forming the Summer Triangle

For the best view, find a dark spot away from campsite lights, put the screens away and give your eyes about 20 minutes to adjust. Then lean back and take it all in.
