Autisme sans limites is proud to participate in the premiere of THE DAY TO CELEBRATE AUTISM Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Museum of Fine Arts in Montreal. We hope to see you in large numbers !!

VISIT OF THE MUSEUM’S COLLECTIONS
Explore the collections of Quebec and Canadian art, decorative arts and world cultures, and the collection of international art from the Middle Ages to the present day, on display in the new Pavilion for Peace Michal and Renata Hornstein.

Cost: free.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
ENGAGE IN UNIQUE CONVERSATIONS!
Find the purple dots in the Michal and Renata Hornstein Pavilion for Peace, where young people with ASD will be on hand throughout the day to speak with the public about selected artworks in the Museum’s collection of international art.

Audience: for all.
Duration: 10 minutes, in English and French.

WHAT A HISTORY!: SEMI-AUTONOMOUS VISITS OF THE COLLECTION OF CANADIAN AND QUEBEC ART
What a History! is an interactive app for tablets, which young visitors can use to explore the collection of Quebec and Canadian art in the Museum’s Claire and Marc Bourgie Pavilion and to discover various eras and cultural realities through works of art.

Audience: recommended for teens aged 12 and over.
Cost: free. Number of tablets limited. First come, first served.
Duration: Participants may begin the visit whenever they want. Bilingual.

Creative Workshops
10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
ART HIVE: GROUP ARTWORK
Participants in this workshop will create a collective work using a variety of recycled materials available in the Art Hive. Supervised by an art therapist, it is open to everyone.

Audience: children and adults of all ages.
Cost: free. Places are limited.
Duration: Participants may arrive at any time. Bilingual.

10.15 to 11 a.m. | 11.15 a.m. to 12 p.m.
FOUR-HANDED WORKSHOP: ONCE UPON A TIME
A made-to-measure workshop for little ones and their parents. In this workshop, children will draw inspiration from the oral tradition to make up a narrative work.

Audience: families with children aged 2 to 5.
Cost: free. Places are limited.
Duration: 45 minutes. Bilingual.

1 to 2 p.m. | 2.30 to 3.30 p.m.
THEMATIC WORKSHOP: MEDITATION IN COLOUR
An opportunity for families to create together while exploring a particular theme from an exhibition presented at the Museum. In this workshop, families will create a personal object, taking their inspiration from the beadwork employed by artist Nadia Myre.

Audience: Families. Recommended for children aged 6 and older.
Cost: free. Places are limited. First come, first served.
Duration: 1 hour. Bilingual.

11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
DROP-IN WORKSHOP: NATURE AND THE MANDALA
Our most flexible activity: drop in anytime between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to enjoy this creative family break for young and old alike. In this workshop, families will create a group work using the natural materials provided.

Audience: Families. Recommended for children aged 6 and older.
Cost: free. Places are limited. First come, first served.
Duration: Participants may arrive at any time. Bilingual.

1 to 3 p.m.
MEET NEUROBIOLOGIST BRUNO WICKER
Dr. Bruno Wicker, a neurobiologist associated with the CNRS cognitive neuroscience lab and Université de Montréal, is heading a scientific study of the impact of works of art and creativity on people with autism. See a demonstration of his research project, which makes use of eye-tracking, to study eye movements.
