The cost of owning a home in Canada eased for the 8th consecutive quarter in Q4 of last year, but those gains are getting smaller and smaller. RBC Economics’ Robert Hogue looks at local affordability trends from coast to coast in this new report.

Housing affordability continues to improve in Canada. RBC’s national aggregate affordability measure eased for an eighth consecutive quarter to 52.4% in Q4 2025 from an all-time high of 63% at the end of 2023. A fall in the measure represents an increase in affordability.

De la mobilisation de capitaux la plus faible depuis 2016 aux défis auxquels font face les gestionnaires émergents, le rapport examine les tendances en profondeur et offre des perspectives exclusives sur les défis et les occasions qui façonnent le capital-risque.

Points importants :
- Les sociétés de capital-risque canadiennes ont amassé un peu plus de 2 milliards de dollars en 2025, un niveau nettement inférieur aux moyennes à long terme au Canada. - Seuls 25 % des fonds de la cohorte de 2021 ont constitué un fonds successeur au cours des cinq dernières années.
- Les gestionnaires émergents ont amassé 249 M$ en 2025, soit le niveau le plus bas jamais enregistré.
