Recently I had the pleasure of introducing Poitras-Saulnier CEO and co-founder of LOOP Mission to an enthusiastic and engaged audience at the Club Atwater's Business Society. Julie discussed her educational background in sustainable and circular economies as well as her corporate evolution. Her passion for the elimination of food waste and LOOP Mission's ability to convert mass quantities of "perfect imperfect fruits and vegetables" into delicious smoothies and juices is nothing less than awe-inspiring! My Club Atwater Business Society colleague, Arani, founder and CEO of Arani Inc did an excellent job of facilitating a conversation and fielding questions during the presentation.Check out LOOP Mission's products at a grocery store near you as well as at Costco.I just tried their new LOOP Iced Tea and have officially found my go-to summer drink! Very refreshing! Thank you, Julie, for speaking to us!

I am extremely excited to hear the results of tomorrow night's event when one of Andy Warhol's 1964 Flower series goes up for auction! Estimates range as high as $30 million US for an 82 inch original. Using a back-of -the-envelope calculation, this should make my 6 inch Steve Giasson Richard Pettibone Andy Warhol Flowers worth about 4 ?.... or...make me an offer!

:)

"Color continues to dazzle us as we step back into the previous century and turn our gaze to one of a series of nine 82-inch Andy Warhol Flowers painted in 1964, featuring three indo orange hibiscus blooms and a fourth erupting in cadmium red against an exuberant green background, all all rendered in Day-Glo paint. This rare work, inspired by a photograph shot by Modern Photography magazine Patricia Caulfield as an illustration for a new Kodak color processor, is expected to sell for between $20 million and $30 million at the 20th Century Evening Sale on May 16."

On November 16th I will have the absolute pleasure and honour to interview Paul Maréchal (curator of the Power Corporation of Canada's corporate collection and one of the world's renowned experts on Andy Warhol) at the vernissage of the Art Volt Collection to be held at The Atwater Club. The subject of this "art talk" is due to begin at 6:30 pm and the topic will be "Building an art collection with passion and reason,"
Art Volt is a not-for-profit oragnization based at Concordia University that assists the transition from a graduating fine arts degree artist into the world of professional art. I am a enthusiastic advocate of this program and am hoping to expose their work to a broader audience of potential supporters and art collectors. Some of the artists represented by the Art Volt Collection will also be present to discuss their works.
This talk will will explore the profile of collectors, their role in the arts ecosystem, the purpose and vision behind collecting art. Tickets are available via the link below. I hope to see you there! https://app.rbcsmb.com/aEo_VJ
