Hi everyone on the last video Sathursha Gunaratnam explained regarding mortgage insurance with the bank in this video she will explain what is individual insurance.
First thing is you can decide yourself who is the beneficiary, it can be your wife, your kids or your husband. ✅
Second thing is your coverage amount won’t decrease, if you took a coverage of 500k for the next 20, 25 years or 30 years and you are paying for example 200$ per month then it will be 200$ per month for the whole duration. ✅
Third thing is when you take individual insurance, even if you decide to change your mortgage with another bank it won’t affect your coverage amount or premium because your coverage and contract is with an insurance company so even if you change the mortgage with another bank, it won’t affect the rates. ✅
Fourth thing is if something happens to you let’s say within the next 10 years, the beneficiaries could be your kids or your wife and they will get the coverage amount. They can take that money and pay off the mortgage and keep the rest of the money. ✅
Fifth thing is that individual insurance is post-approved so that means, they will complete and verify all the medical questions before approving the insurance so if you answered truthfully your beneficiary won’t have any issues, they will get the amount of coverage that you initially applied for.
