Today, AQQOUNT had the privilege to present our Green Disaster Resilience & Carbon Opportunity model to the leadership team of Agricultural Promotion Bank (APB) in Vientiane.​

Our discussion focused on how APB can build a green loan portfolio that not only protects farmers and forest assets from wildfire and flood risk, but also creates new revenue streams from high‑quality, sensor‑verified carbon credits.

By combining IoT early‑warning systems with APB’s financing capability, Laos can turn climate risk into a bankable asset class that strengthens financial stability and reduces non‑performing loans.​

For the Lao government, this tripartite model between banks, business operators, and technology partners supports national climate policy, helps preserve forests as a strategic carbon sink, and positions Laos to attract concessional green capital from international institutions. It also contributes directly to SDG progress by improving rural livelihoods, protecting agricultural productivity, and enhancing the country’s reputation as a forward‑looking green economy in the region.​
