For my tax clients who are teachers and often pay out of their own pocket for supplies they use in their classrooms. There is now a 15% refundable tax credit on supplies purchase up to $1,000. So for example if you spend $1,000 out of pocket you will be able to claim a $150.00 refund. If you spend $300 then you would be entitled to a $45.00 refund. I know it is not much, but it is a start and I wanted you to be aware of this new tax credit for educators.
